ABOUT INTERCROSS

More Than Logistics. It’s Personal.

My journey in freight and logistics started in 1995.

What began as a career quickly became an industry that I genuinely grew to love — not only because of the challenges, the complexity and the satisfaction of getting cargo where it needs to go, but because of the people and relationships behind every shipment.

Over the years, I have seen this industry change enormously. Technology has changed, systems have improved, vessels have grown, supply chains have become more complex and the world has become increasingly connected.

But one thing has never changed for me:
Good freight forwarding is personal.
Behind every shipment is a customer who has trusted someone to take care of something important to their business.

And I have never taken that trust lightly.

THE BEGINNING OF INTERCROSS

After many years working in the freight and logistics industry, I had the opportunity to create something of my own.
That became Intercross Management.

Starting Intercross was one of the greatest joys of my professional journey because it gave me the opportunity to build the kind of freight company I believed in.
I wanted experience and expertise to be at the heart of the business — but I wanted something else to matter just as much:
Personal service.
I wanted customers to be able to pick up the telephone and speak to someone who actually knows their shipment.
I wanted us to know our customers by name, understand their businesses and recognise what matters to them.
I didn’t want customers to feel like a booking number, container number or reference number.

That belief became one of the principles on which Intercross was built:
You are NOT just another shipment.

A GENUINE LOVE FOR THE INDUSTRY

There is something incredibly rewarding about freight forwarding.
No two days are quite the same.
Some shipments are straightforward. Others require months of planning.

There are urgent airfreight shipments, containers travelling across oceans, complicated customs clearances, abnormal loads, heavy machinery and project cargo that requires an entire team of specialists to get it safely to its destination.

And then there are those shipments where absolutely nothing goes according to plan.
Those are often the ones that remind me why I love this industry.

Because freight forwarding is ultimately about finding solutions.
It is about thinking ahead, anticipating problems, understanding the options and finding another way when Plan A suddenly becomes Plan B… or C.
Experience teaches you routes, carriers, ports, customs procedures and documentation.
But years in this industry teach you something even more valuable:

The best freight forwarders don’t simply move cargo. They take ownership.

That philosophy is deeply embedded in Intercross.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE CARGO

One of the greatest privileges of my journey since 1995 has been the people I have met along the way.

Customers.
Colleagues.
Shipping lines.
Transporters.
Overseas agents.
Suppliers.

People from completely different countries and backgrounds who somehow become part of the same team when there is cargo that needs to move.
Many professional relationships have developed into relationships that have lasted for years.
That is something I value enormously.

Because although we work in a global industry involving ships, aircraft, trucks, containers and sophisticated systems, freight forwarding remains a people business.

And I hope Intercross never loses that.

OUR CORE VALUES

Lead with Love. Serve with Humility. Act with Integrity.

These words represent much more than a company slogan.
They represent the principles I want Intercross to live by.

Lead with Love

Treat people well.
Business does not have to be cold or impersonal to be professional.
We believe in treating our customers, suppliers, agents and colleagues with kindness, respect and genuine consideration.

Serve with Humility

Service means being willing to help.
No customer should ever feel that their shipment is too small to matter or that their question isn’t important enough to answer.

We listen.
We help.
We find solutions.
And when something needs attention, we get involved.

Act with Integrity

Trust is everything in freight forwarding.
Customers entrust us with valuable cargo, confidential information, important deadlines and sometimes extremely challenging projects.
We believe in being transparent and communicating openly.
If there is a problem, we don’t hide it.

We work on solving it.

PERSONAL SERVICE IS NOT OLD-FASHIONED

Technology is essential to modern logistics.
Good systems make us faster, more accurate and more efficient.
But technology should support relationships — not replace them.

When everything is running perfectly, an automated update may be enough.
When something goes wrong with an important shipment, it isn’t.
At that moment, customers want a person.
Someone who understands the shipment.
Someone who knows what has happened.
Someone who is already working on the solution.
And someone who answers the phone.

That is why personal service remains one of the most important values at Intercross.

EXPERIENCE THAT GOES BEYOND ORDINARY FREIGHT

Today, Intercross provides comprehensive international freight and logistics solutions covering:

Sea Freight • Air Freight • Road Freight • Customs Clearance • Project Cargo • Breakbulk • Heavy Lift • Warehousing • Export Packing & Crating • Dangerous Goods • Temperature-Controlled Cargo • Door-to-Door Logistics

Project cargo has become an especially important part of what we do.
Complex cargo requires more than simply obtaining a freight rate.
It requires planning.
Understanding the cargo.
Understanding the route.
Identifying risks.
Coordinating multiple suppliers.
And managing the movement from beginning to end.

Whether we are moving a standard shipment or managing a complicated international project, the principle remains exactly the same:

Take ownership of the cargo.

RELATIONSHIPS, NOT TRANSACTIONS

Our goal has never been simply to complete one shipment and move on to the next.
We want to understand our customers’ businesses.
We want to know what they import and export, what challenges they face and what is important to them.
We want customers to know that when they need advice — even before there is a shipment to book — they can call us.
Because the strongest business relationships are not built on transactions.

They are built on trust, consistency and time.

THE INTERCROSS PROMISE

International logistics will never be completely predictable.
Ships are delayed.
Ports become congested.
Flights change.
Customs authorities inspect cargo.
Weather interferes.
And occasionally a carefully prepared plan needs to be rewritten completely.

We cannot promise that those things will never happen.
But we can promise how we will respond.

We will care.
We will communicate.
We will take ownership.
We will look for solutions.
And we will never forget that there is a person behind the shipment who is relying on us.

My journey in this industry started in 1995.

After all these years, I still love freight, I still love the challenge, and I still get enormous satisfaction from seeing a difficult shipment successfully reach its destination.

But above everything else, I still love the people.

That is the heart of Intercross.

Experience. Reliability. Personal Service.

We do things a bit differently, and that’s the way we like it.
